Fossil Collector at Heart
I've always been fascinated by the ocean and the creatures that inhabit it. That fascination turned into a full-blown passion through years of scuba diving and shark diving around the world. There's something humbling about being in the water alongside sharks — it gives you a deep respect for these animals and a curiosity about their ancient ancestors.
The Megalodon Obsession
That curiosity led me to megalodon teeth. The idea that a shark over 50 feet long once ruled the oceans — and that we can still hold a piece of it in our hands millions of years later — is incredible. I started collecting megalodon teeth as a way to connect with that history, and it quickly became a serious hobby. There's a thrill in finding the right tooth: the size, the color, the preservation, the story behind where it was found.
Why I Built This
The biggest challenge in collecting is that great teeth sell fast. They appear on small specialty sites, and by the time you check manually, the best ones are already gone. I built this monitor to solve that problem — it watches 9 different sellers every 2 hours, filters for teeth that match my criteria, and alerts me the moment something new appears. This site is the public face of that tool, letting me (and anyone else who shares the interest) browse what's currently available across all these shops in one place.
